Friendly relaxed cafe with nicely presented, tasty mix of sandwiches, ciabatta and baguettes. Cakes are good old-fashioned recipes served generously. Does breakfasts, cream teas and light lunches too. Usually busy and a bit noisy at peak times. People in wheelchairs or with mobility problems may find access difficult.
Good staff and coffee. Did a great Sunday roast and a large variety of cakes.
Not a bad cafe. Limited menu. OK if you're pleased with a baked potato or a sandwich or a slice of cake. Staff friendly and helpful. Feels cramped with all the tables and chairs. Prices a little on the High side for what you get.
Enjoyable meal, reasonably priced and good service.
As soon as I came in I felt as though I'd made a mistake. It reminded me of a relic of the early 80s with its cheap plaster walls. The menu was standard, unimaginative cafe stuff, baked spuds and sarnies, except for what I ordered, a brie salad. What I hoped for was some bite sized chunks of brie and maybe some rocket and a dressing.Well, hoping don't get yet nuffin'. What I got was a big chunk of quite bland, oily, deep fried brie and some equally bland leaves. The salad was dumped on the plate with little care or presentation and it was limp and damp, which made the brie soggy and unappetising.I won't be back.
